What is the PCB/Oil Kit?

The ENVIRO-G® PCB/Oil Kit (SKU FTUTG50) is engineered for fast, effective containment of aqueous and organic liquid spills — including PCB-contaminated oils and hydrocarbons — in the field, in the shop, or on industrial sites.

It gives utility crews, field techs, and maintenance teams everything needed to respond immediately to petroleum leaks, hydraulic releases, diesel spills, and other emergency response situations. Housed in a weather-resistant rotomolded case, it stays compact, organized, and ready for deployment.

What's inside the PCB/Oil Kit?

Eleven components — the ENVIRO-G® response media plus the screening and support gear a PCB-suspect spill demands:

What spills does the PCB/Oil Kit handle?

The kit absorbs the oils and organic liquids utility and industrial crews actually spill:

  • Oil · PCB-Contaminated Fluids
  • Antifreeze · Solvents · Paint
  • Hydraulic Fluid · Organic Liquids

The included Clor-N-Oil® 50 kit screens spilled oil for PCBs in the field, so the response and disposal path match what was actually spilled. The kit is built around ENVIRO-G® absorbent; for routine oil and organic spills without PCB screening, see the EG-50 Spill Response Kit.

Who deploys the PCB/Oil Kit?

Utility crews, mobile-ready — the cut sheet leads with absorbing oil and hydrocarbons, non-toxic safe deployment, and RCRA-compliant, landfill-approved disposal.*

The kit's cut sheet features the Sweetwater Fire Rescue team with ENVIRO-Z™ and ENVIRO-G® kits — the same case platform serves fire and hazardous-response crews, substations, fleet maintenance, and transformer service work. Made in the USA, assembled in Tennessee.

How is it sold?

The PCB/Oil Kit (FTUTG50) is available by quote — distributor inquiries welcome. The case is refillable, so replacement ENVIRO-G® absorbent and screening kits keep it in service.

Frequently asked questions

What is the PCB/Oil Kit (FTUTG50)?

The ENVIRO-G® PCB/Oil Kit (SKU FTUTG50) is engineered for fast, effective containment of aqueous and organic liquid spills — including PCB-contaminated oils and hydrocarbons — in the field, in the shop, or on industrial sites. Housed in a weather-resistant rotomolded case, its cut sheet lists it as approved for use on PCBs, field-tested, and RCRA compliant.

How is the PCB/Oil Kit different from the EG-50 kit?

Both kits are built around ENVIRO-G® absorbent — socks, shaker, spout bag, and 20 universal absorbent pads in a refillable rotomolded case with disposal bags and tamper-proof waste labels. The PCB/Oil Kit adds a Clor-N-Oil® 50 PCB screening kit, Honeywell® Eyesaline® eyewash, Dynasty Guzzler® degreaser (1 qt), and J-B Weld® for sealing leaks — equipping crews to screen a spill for PCBs on the spot.

What spills does the PCB/Oil Kit handle?

The kit absorbs oil, PCB-contaminated fluids, antifreeze, solvents, paint, hydraulic fluid, and other organic liquids. It gives utility crews, field techs, and maintenance teams everything needed to respond immediately to petroleum leaks, hydraulic releases, diesel spills, and other emergency response situations.

Why does PCB screening matter at a spill?

Older transformers and electrical equipment can contain PCB-contaminated oil, which is federally regulated and changes how a spill must be handled and disposed of. The included Clor-N-Oil® 50 PCB screening kit lets the crew screen the spilled oil in the field, so the response and the disposal path match what was actually spilled. Disposal compliance varies by jurisdiction — contact Fluid Tech for guidance.
