What is ENVIRO-G®?
ENVIRO-G® is a granular absorbent — sepiolite — used to solidify aqueous liquids and engineered for fast, effective containment of aqueous and organic liquid spills in the field, in the shop, or on industrial sites.
It absorbs on contact and leaves surfaces dry for sweeping and restoration. The EG-50 cut sheet lists the absorbent media as non-reactive and non-leachable, and per the SDS the product as supplied, unmixed, does not meet the criteria of a hazardous waste as defined under RCRA if it becomes a waste. The EG-50 kit cut sheet lists SPCC, EPA, and OSHA compliance support; the PCB/Oil Kit sheet lists RCRA compliance and landfill-safe disposal.*
*Disposal compliance varies by jurisdiction. Contact Fluid Tech for guidance.
What liquids does ENVIRO-G® absorb?
ENVIRO-G® absorbs oil, diesel, fuel, lubricants, greases, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, radiator fluids, antifreeze, solvents, paint, PCB-contaminated fluids, and other organic liquids — and it is used to solidify aqueous liquids.

Frequently asked questions
What is ENVIRO-G®?
ENVIRO-G® is a granular, sepiolite-based absorbent used to solidify aqueous liquids. It absorbs oil, diesel, fuel, greases, and hydrocarbons on contact and leaves surfaces dry for sweeping and restoration. Fluid Tech supplies it fully outfitted in two spill response kits — the EG-50 Spill Response Kit and the PCB/Oil Kit (FTUTG50).
What is the difference between the EG-50 kit and the PCB/Oil Kit?
Both kits are built around ENVIRO-G® absorbent — four absorbent socks (3″ × 5′), a 5 lb shaker, a 10 lb spout bag, and 20 universal absorbent pads in a refillable rotomolded case with disposal bags and tamper-proof waste labels. The PCB/Oil Kit (FTUTG50) adds a Clor-N-Oil® 50 PCB screening kit, Honeywell® Eyesaline® eyewash, Dynasty Guzzler® degreaser (1 qt), and J-B Weld®, and its cut sheet lists it as approved for use on PCBs.
Can used ENVIRO-G® go to a landfill?
Disposal of used media depends on what was absorbed. Per the SDS, if ENVIRO-G® as supplied, and unmixed, becomes a waste, it does not meet the criteria of a hazardous waste as defined under RCRA, and it can be landfilled when in compliance with local regulations. The EG-50 kit cut sheet describes the absorbent media as non-reactive, non-leachable, and landfill-acceptable; the PCB/Oil Kit sheet lists landfill-safe disposal. Per the SDS, the waste code should be assigned in discussion between the user, the producer, and the waste disposal company — disposal compliance varies by jurisdiction, so contact Fluid Tech for guidance.
Who are the ENVIRO-G® kits designed for?
The kits give utility crews, field techs, and maintenance teams everything needed to respond immediately to petroleum leaks, hydraulic releases, diesel spills, and other emergency response situations. The EG-50 cut sheet lists them as ideal for first responders, electric and power crews, industrial maintenance, fleet and equipment maintenance, substations, construction, transportation and trucking hubs, nuclear facilities, mining companies, and hazardous response teams.
